Home For (not just) The Holidays

Guess who's back back, back again?
Now that we are back in Jersey, we are here for the unforeseeable future and not only visitors, so I guess we could say that I'm back home. Home is a loosely used term for me because I want to see myself as a world traveler and not be attached to one place. But in reality, I spent most of my life in Jersey so its safe to say there is a certain feeling of homeyness and comfort when I'm back here.
Being home is always a nostalgic time for me and can bring up some old emotions, but it gives me space to heal and connect with my inner child. I know I'm not the only one who experiences this during this time of the year, so I figured I'd share some techniques and ways to cope wherever your home is or may be this season.
Sometimes its hard to follow a plan exactly, it doesn't always include the unexpected that lies ahead. We can plan for all of the possible outcomes and still something can mess it up. What we learn is, the universe always wins. Normally the harder that we plan for something, the more it goes wrong. The best plans are ones that form naturally without much effort.
When we think of the holidays, there are all kinds of plans to make, dinners, gift exchanges, town events, you name it! And although they take some additional steps to make it all happen, the best ones are spontaneous and free-flowing.
As we were planning for my daughter's 1st birthday party I was feeling that all of the prep might be overdoing it and forcing a certain vision. Instead, I chose to change my perspective and accept however it goes is the way the universe planned.

❤️ Remember to cherish your loved ones and that the best present is your presence.
