Map Your Life

Where have I been?

ree

Growing up in New Jersey, I always wanted to leave and explore new places. But as I got older, I enjoyed coming home to visit. Staying in any place for too long is just not for me and I really enjoy moving. Even when I come back home I feel like I can’t stay too long. The first time I actually moved out of my home state was in 2019, when I was 23 years old. I think the first time I left the state in my life was when I was a baby to go see my grandparents in Florida.

The places we visit shape us. The places we live in, make us stronger. My love for travel may look different from some but I know there are so many people out there with similar paths. We call Earth our home and know that we are giving back to our community wherever we live. That being said, there is a huge privilege in the ability to travel and live in new places. Your passport really does affect your life and opportunities to work and travel.

Countries I’ve visited:

Where am I now?

ree

Currently living in Spain for about 3 months now and this is my new home for the unforeseeable future. We like where we are now and enjoy the simple lifestyle in this southern beach town. Being one of the only families from the US living here, we are sticking out for sure but making friends everywhere we go. I am grateful to be able to walk around and hear so many different languages, teach my daughter a new language and embracing a new culture.

Where am I going?

In the future I see myself traveling more as this is just the beginning of our family adventures. We are planning to visit Morocco soon and go to a new continent and country that we’ve been gazing at on the horizons. I hope to explore more of Spain and to visit small countryside towns, cities and islands. Eventually we would like to visit Italy again and go see family and friends. These are all possible in this year and there may be more in store just waiting to happen.

My travel journey is never-ending and I am grateful for every place I have been and will go one day. Thank you to all of the amazing souls I have met along the way, to the memories made and of course the delicious meals shared.

If you have a dream to travel somewhere new, know that it is all possible. The timing might not always align with your plan, but if it is meant to be, it will happen one day.
